Failing the DGT theory test is more common than people admit — you need 27 out of 30 correct, with a maximum of 3 mistakes. Here's what happens next.

How many attempts you get

Your €94.05 DGT fee (tasa 2.1) covers two exam attempts. If you fail the theory twice — or once on theory and once on the practical — you pay the fee again to get two more attempts.

How soon can you retake it?

There's no long mandatory wait — you rebook the next available appointment (through your autoescuela or the DGT). In practice that's usually a matter of days to a couple of weeks, depending on availability at your office.
